Life is a Gift

Since I was a child I learned to paint with both my parents who were also artists. My interest for the Costar Rican fauna and flora has led me to paint the natural orchids in the misty mountains; the heliconia of the lowlands; and the wild flowers of the open fields. Walking in the rainforest and the tropical jungle, I observed the dewdrops turned into pearls strung on a spider web; I heard the rumors of the jungle and felt the hidden presence of the wild animals.

Painting daily, in oils or watercolors I am a realistic and impressionistic painter. I paint on site, directly, drawing with my brush, concentrating, until my energy flows into the canvas and I no longer feel myself!

Nevertheless, I like to play with the elves of my imagination and I have done many children’s illustrations.  

I am greatly inspired among the domestic and wild animals I find in my garden. There is a small pond which attracts many birds, and in it, the flowers of each season are also reflected.

Time becomes precious – there are still so many moments to capture!

I endeavor to capture the instant, portrayed with love and witnessed with passion, for the undefined future.
