Ancora Prize, Nationwide Arts prize given by the newspaper La Nación .

1980

The city of New Orleans conferred the title International Honorary Citizen to Cristina Fournier for her efforts in bringing together the cities of San José , Costa Rica and New Orleans on commerce and in art.

1991

Aquileo Echeverría National Prize: This prize is given for outstanding work in the Arts by the Costa Rican Ministry of Culture; for her work portraying the national orchids, favoring the Ecology and nature of the country; and her work as a teacher.
